A moment with your Dad...

DOUG’S VISIT

I have to share the dream I had the night before the party. On Sunday we we’re having a family get together to honor Doug’s passing.

In my dream, the party was at my parents (Nana & Papa) home. There were lots of people there when Doug walks in the front door. We hugged hello and then I tried to explain to him that he had passed away a year ago to the day. He shrugged his shoulders & said “So, whatever.” I proceeded to try to find evidence of his passing to prove it to him. He didn’t care.

A large group of family & friends were at the front door & I went out to tell(warn) them

Doug was there. Nobody was concerned and they all came in the house.

I found some document to prove Doug’s death & showed it to him. He said it didn’t matter.

I woke up at that point & tried my darndest to go back to sleep & see Doug. Still, I was elated. I believe Doug had two messages with his visit. One, he was OK. Two, he is with us. All of us! I find great comfort in that.

This was hard to write & it’s taken me a while to do it. As you can imagine, the emotions. were pretty strong & lots of Kleenex were involved. ☺

I hope everyone finds the comfort & joy I had with Doug’s visit. Please feel free to share if you have had visits from Doug.

He's ok and he's with us. Beautiful. I believe that too Art. He's got a busy job taking care of our broken hearts when he is telling us he is healed and whole again. What we always wanted for him, no pain, no broken body, no evils around him. I think we are in hell and he is in heaven, thank God thank God thank God we WILL meet again. I miss you friend, I really miss you.

I wanted to inform people how strange this update is. Before my Dad left this entry I kept staring at the blog spot for over an hour. I just couldn't get Doug out of my head, so I emailed Sally so I can post a blog. Then I text my dad telling him, I missed him while looking at the blog. Then he responses saying, I miss you too look at the blog. I guess we all focus in on Doug strongly at certain times together.

I have had some dreams of him. one that stays with me came to me about 2 months after his passing. I was walking down a hall, passing some empty rooms until I came to one room. It was bright and there was doug. I ran to him and hugged him for a long time. I asked him why? but then retracted my statement.I said it didn't mean to ask him that. I told him how much I missed him and loved him. He said to me " this was the way it was supposed to be." We danced for awhile and he kissed me. I got this overwhelming feeling of love and calm. There was no sadness. He was glowing and smiling that great smile. The wierd thing was it didn't feel like a dream while he was there, but once he left it went back to feeling like a dream. But those moments he was there and holding me and talking to me, it was as if it was all real...another relm if you will. Like GOD let me have those few REAL moments with him. I think he will always be here for all of us. Watching over us from HEAVEN.
